حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي الطَّاهِرِ بْنِ السَّرْحِ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْعَلَّافُ الْمِصْرِيَّانِ، قَالَا: ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْجُمَحِيُّ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ، تَقُولُ: «تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي يَوْمِي، وَفِي بَيْتِي، وَبَيْنَ سَحْرِي، وَنَحْرِي، وَجَمَعَ اللهُ بَيْنَ رِيقِي وَرِيقِهِ» ، قَالَتْ: «دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بِسِوَاكٍ، فَضَعُفَتْ يَدُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَخَذْتُهُ فَمَضَغْتُهُ، ثُمَّ سَنَنْتُهُ بِهِ»
Ibn Abi Mulaykah said: I heard Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away on my day, in my house, and between my chest and my neck, and Allah joined my saliva with his (peace and blessings be upon him) saliva. She said: My brother Abd al-Rahman came in to me with a miswak, and the hand of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had grown weak, so I took that miswak and chewed it, then cleaned his (peace and blessings be upon him) teeth with it.
