حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، أَنَّ أَزْوَاجَ، رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَدِيجَةُ بِنْتُ خُوَيْلِدٍ، وَعَائِشَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، وَأُمُّ سَلَمَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ، وَحَفْصَةُ بِنْتُ عُمَرَ، وَأُمُّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، وَجُوَيْرِيَةُ بِنْتُ الْحَارِثِ، وَمَيْمُونَةُ بِنْتُ الْحَارِثِ، وَزَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ جَحْشٍ، وَسَوْدَةُ بِنْتُ زَمْعَةَ، وَصَفِيَّةُ بِنْتُ حُيَيٍّ حَتَّى اجْتَمَعْنَ عِنْدَهُ تِسْعَةٌ بَعْدَ خَدِيجَةَ، وَالْكِنْدِيَّةُ مِنْ بَنِي الْجَوْنِ، وَالْعَالِيَةُ بِنْتُ ظَبْيَانَ مِنْ بَنِي عَامِرِ بْنِ بَنِي كِلَابٍ، وَزَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ خُزَيْمَةَ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ بَنِي هِلَالٍ "، قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ: أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ، قَالَ: لَمَّا أُدْخِلَتِ الْكِنْدِيَّةُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ: أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنْكَ فَقَالَ: «لَقَدْ عُذْتِ بِعَظِيمٍ، الْحَقِي بِأَهْلِكِ»
Al-Zuhri said that the wives of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) were: Sayyidah Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, Sayyidah Aishah bint Abi Bakr, Sayyidah Umm Salamah bint Abi Umayyah, Sayyidah Hafsah bint Umar, Sayyidah Umm Habibah bint Abi Sufyan, Sayyidah Juwayriyah bint al-Harith, Sayyidah Maymunah bint al-Harith, Sayyidah Zaynab bint Jahsh, Sayyidah Sawdah bint Zam'ah and Sayyidah Safiyyah bint Huyayy (may Allah be pleased with them), so that after Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) nine wives were gathered with him (peace and blessings be upon him). And (besides them) the Kindite woman of Banu al-Jawn, al-Aliyah bint Zabyan of Banu Amir bin Banu Kilab, and a lady of Banu Hilal, Sayyidah Zaynab bint Khuzaymah (may Allah be pleased with her). Al-Zuhri said: Urwah bin al-Zubayr told me that when the Kindite woman was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), she said: I seek refuge with Allah from you. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You have sought refuge with One who is Mighty; go back to your family."
