حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ قَالَ: «أَوَّلُ امْرَأَةٍ تَزَوَّجَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَدِيجَةَ، ثُمَّ تَزَوَّجَ سَوْدَةَ بِنْتَ زَمْعَةَ، ثُمَّ نَكَحَ عَائِشَةَ بِمَكَّةَ وَبَنَى بِهَا بِالْمَدِينَةِ وَنَكَحَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتَ خُزَيْمَةَ الْهِلَالِيَّةَ، ثُمَّ نَكَحَ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ، ثُمَّ نَكَحَ جُوَيْرِيَةَ بِنْتَ الْحَارِثِ، فَكَانَتْ مِمَّا أَفَاءَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ نَكَحَ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتَ الْحَارِثِ، وَهِيَ الَّتِي وَهَبَتْ نَفْسَهَا لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ نَكَحَ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتَ حُيَيٍّ، وَهِيَ مِمَّا أَفَاءَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ، ثُمَّ نَكَحَ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتَ جَحْشٍ، وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَةَ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ، وَتُوُفِّيَتْ زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ خُزَيْمَةَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَخَدِيجَةُ أَيْضًا تُوُفِّيَتْ بِمَكَّةَ، وَنَكَحَ امْرَأَةً مِنْ بَنِي كِلَابٍ مِنْ بَنِي رَبِيعَةَ يُقَالُ لَهَا الْعَالِيَةُ بِنْتُ ظَبْيَانَ فَطَلَّقَهَا حِينَ أُدْخِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ»
Yahya bin Abi Kathir said: The first wife of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her). Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) married Sayyidah Sawdah bint Zam'ah (may Allah be pleased with her). Then in Makkah he married Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) and consummated the marriage with her in Madinah. And in Madinah he married Sayyidah Zaynab bint Khuzaymah al-Hilaliyyah (may Allah be pleased with her). Then he married Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her). Then he married Sayyidah Juwayriyah bint al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with her), who was among the spoils that Allah granted him. Then he married Sayyidah Maymunah bint al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with her); she is the one who gave herself to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Then he married Sayyidah Safiyyah bint Huyayy (may Allah be pleased with her), who was among the spoils that Allah granted him on the day of Khaybar. Then he married Sayyidah Zaynab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her), who had been the wife of Zayd bin Harithah (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyidah Zaynab bint Khuzaymah (may Allah be pleased with her) died while married to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) also died in Makkah. And he (peace and blessings be upon him) married a woman of Banu Kilab, of Banu Rabi'ah, who was called al-Aliyah bint Zabyan, but when she was brought to him (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) divorced her.
