Sayyiduna Abu Rimthah al-Taymi (may Allah be pleased with him) (of Taym al-Rabab) said: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and my son was with me. When I saw him (peace and blessings be upon him), I said to my son: This is the Prophet of Allah. At that a severe trembling came over him. I said: O Prophet of Allah, I am a physician - and my father too was a physician from a household of physicians - show me your back; if it is a tumour I will lance it, and if it is something else I will tell you, for there is no human being who knows more about wounds than I do. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Physician is none but Allah." He (peace and blessings be upon him) was wearing two green cloaks, and grey had come into his (peace and blessings be upon him) hair, and his (peace and blessings be upon him) grey was reddish. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Is this your son?" I said: Yes, by the Lord of the Ka'bah. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "From your own loins?" I said: I bear witness to it. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, he will not bear the burden of your offence, nor will you bear the burden of his."
