حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةَ مَمْلُوكِينَ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ لَيْسَ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ، «فَأَقْرَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man freed six slaves at the time of his death, and he had no wealth other than them. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cast lots among them, freed two and kept four in slavery.
