Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 15296 — In the narration of al-Hasan: We visited

In the narration of al-Hasan: We visited al-Hasan during the severe illness that had afflicted him, and a man said to him: "I feel pity for you because of the state I see you in." He said: "O my brother, do not do that. By Allah, what is most beloved to me is what is most beloved to Allah, and Allah has said: 'Whatever misfortune befalls you is because of what your own hands have earned, and He pardons much' [Al-Shura: 30]. So this is what my own hands have earned, and then, after this, the pardon of my Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, will come to me for what remains."
