حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، أَنَّ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ الْحُصَيْنِ، أَحْرَمَ مِنَ الْبَصْرَةِ فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ عَلَى عُمَرَ وَقَدْ كَانَ بَلَغَهُ ذَلِكَ، أَغْلَظَ لَهُ وَقَالَ: «يَتَحَدَّثُ النَّاسُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَحْرَمَ مِنْ مِصْرٍ مِنَ الْأَمْصَارِ»
It is narrated from al-Hasan al-Basri that Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) entered the state of ihram from Basrah. When he came to Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), who had already heard of it, he spoke harshly to him and said: People will talk about how a Companion of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered ihram from one of the cities.
