Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14217 — I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about game killed by the mi'rad. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever strikes with the edge, eat it; and whatever strikes with the broad side is waqidh." And I also asked him (peace and blessings be upon him) about game caught by a dog. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever it holds back for you and does not eat any of, eat it, for its catching it is its slaughter. And if you find another dog with your dog and you think that it too took part in catching it and killed it, then do not eat, for you only mentioned the name of Allah over your own dog; you did not mention it over the other."
