حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْقَتَّاتُ الْكُوفِيُّ، ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: «كُنْتُ مُسْتَتِرًا بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةِ، فَجَاءَ ثَلَاثَةُ نَفَرٍ» ، فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ. رَوَاهُ زَيْدُ بْنُ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ، فَخَالَفَ الثَّوْرِيَّ وَأَصْحَابَ الْأَعْمَشِ
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: "I was hiding behind the coverings of the Ka'bah when three men came," then the narrator related it similar to the hadith of Abu Mu'awiyah.
Zayd bin Abi Unaysah narrated it, and in it he differed from Sufyan al-Thawri and the other students of al-A'mash.
