قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ : حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ بْنِ لَاحِقٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا أَبْرَدْتُمْ بَرِيدًا فَأَبْرِدُوهُ حَسَنَ الْوَجْهِ ، حَسَنَ الِاسْمِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Hadrami bin Lahiq (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you send a messenger (on some mission or with a message), send one who is handsome and good-looking and whose name is also good and pleasant."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded this hadith in his Musnad (hadith: 3550), and Allamah al-Albani declared it sahih in Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah (hadith: 1186).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Seek goodness and benefit from those who have beautiful and radiant faces."

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Seek goodness, benefit and the fulfilment of your needs from those who have beautiful and radiant faces (that is, whose countenances show signs of nobility, generosity and good character)."

وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا طَلَبْتُمُ الْحَاجَاتِ ، فَاطْلُبُوهَا إِلَى حِسَانِ الْوُجُوهِ " .
