وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ، وَنَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، فَرَّقَهُمَا ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ هُشَيْمٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : ثَلَاثٌ لَا يَزَلْنَ فِي أُمَّتِي حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ : النِّيَاحَةُ ، وَالْأَنْوَاءُ ، وَالْمُفَاخَرَةُ فِي الْأَنْسَابِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Three things will remain in my Ummah until the Hour is established: wailing, believing that rain comes through the influence of the stars, and boasting about lineage."
