وَقَالَ عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ ، ثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَرَأَ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ الْمَائِدَةَ ، وَسُورَةَ التَّوْبَةِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited Surah al-Ma'idah and Surah al-Tawbah in his sermon."
