قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : أَخْبَرَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ السَّكُونِيُّ ، ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ السَّلُولِيِّ ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : إِنْ أَتَّخِذْ مِنْبَرًا ، فَقَدِ اتَّخَذَ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ ، وَإِنْ أَتَّخِذِ الْعَصَا ، فَقَدِ اتَّخَذَ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْأَشَجِّ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ ، وَقَالَ : لَا نَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ .

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If I take a pulpit (for preaching), then my noble father Ibrahim (peace and blessings be upon him) also took a pulpit; and if I use a staff, then my noble father Ibrahim (peace and blessings be upon him) also used a staff."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it through Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj from Uqbah, and said: We know this hadith only through this chain.
