وَقَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ : حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ ، ثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : اطْلُبُوا الْقُوَّةَ وَالْأَمَانَةَ فِي الْأَئِمَّةِ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ ، فَإِنَّ قَوِيَّ قُرَيْشٍ لَهُ فَضْلَانِ عَلَى أَقَوَى مَنْ سِوَاهُمْ ، وَإِنَّ أَمِينَ قُرَيْشٍ لَهُ فَضْلَانِ عَلَى أَمِينِ مَنْ سِوَاهُمْ .
4131 \ 2 - وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْوَكِيعِيُّ ، ثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ ، ثَنَا حَمَّادٌ بِهِ .
4131 \ 2 - وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْوَكِيعِيُّ ، ثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ ، ثَنَا حَمَّادٌ بِهِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Seek strength and capability, and trustworthiness, in the leaders and rulers who are from Quraysh, for a strong man of Quraysh has a twofold superiority over the strongest men of other tribes, and a trustworthy man of Quraysh has a twofold superiority over the trustworthy among others."
And Imam Abu Ya'la also narrated it in the same way in his chain, through Ahmad bin Umar al-Waki'i, Mu'ammal and Hammad.
