وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُجَالِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : لَمَّا قَدِمَ جَعْفَرٌ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ مِنَ الْحَبَشَةِ عَانَقَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "When Sayyiduna Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) returned from the land of Abyssinia, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) embraced him and hugged him."
Imam Abu Ya'la narrated this hadith; its chain contains Isma'il bin Mujalid, who is da'if (weak), though the basis of the embrace is established from other supporting reports and narrations.
