وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أُصِيبَ جَعْفَرٌ ، وَكُنْتُ أُحِبُّ جَعْفَرًا رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ .
It is narrated from Asim bin Bahdalah (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Ja'far ((may Allah be pleased with him)) has been martyred, and I loved Ja'far dearly."
Imam Musaddad (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Hammad narrated this hadith to us from Asim bin Bahdalah.
