It is narrated from Yahya bin Ja'dah (may Allah have mercy on him) that "the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) to do something concerning the cleaning of Sayyiduna Usamah (may Allah be pleased with him): either it was the mucus running from his nose or something else. It seemed that she disliked it (out of natural aversion), so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) took it from her and did that task himself."
There is a supporting witness (shahid) for this narration from the hadith of Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), which Imam Ibn Hibban narrated from her through the route of "al-Bahi" and declared sahih (authentic).
