وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، ثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ عَبْدِ اللهِ بِنْتُ نَائِلٍ ، مَوْلَاةُ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهَا - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا - ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَوَجَدَ ( ثُفْرُوقَةً ) فِيهَا تَمْرٌ ، فَأَخَذَ تَمْرَةً ، وَأَعْطَانِي تَمْرَةً .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "I was walking with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he (peace and blessings be upon him) found a stalk of a date cluster with some dates on it. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) took one date for himself and gave me one date."
