It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to make this supplication frequently: "Allahumma inni as'aluka al-sihhata wa al-iffata wa al-amanata wa husn al-khuluqi wa al-rida bi al-qadar (O Allah, I ask You for health and well-being, chastity and modesty, trustworthiness, good character, and wholehearted contentment with the decree You have written)."
Imam al-Bukhari recorded this hadith in al-Adab al-Mufrad (307); the hadith scholars have criticised its chain on account of the memory of a narrator named Abd al-Rahman bin Ziyad al-Ifriqi, for which reason this chain is da'if (weak); however, the words of this supplication are established by other sahih narrations and supporting evidence.
