It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you knew what I know, you would laugh little and weep much, and you would go out (of your homes before Allah) crying and lamenting aloud, not knowing whether you would be saved (from punishment) or not."
Imam al-Bazzar (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Al-Hasan bin Yahya and Abd al-Malik bin Muhammad narrated to us; they both said: Muslim bin Ibrahim narrated this hadith to us with the same chain as before.
Imam al-Bazzar said: As far as we know, no one narrated it from Imam Shu'bah except Muslim bin Ibrahim.
He also said: We do not know the daughter of Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) (who appears in one of the chains of this narration).
