حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا جُوَيْبِرٌ ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : مَا كُنَّا نَكْتُبُ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْئًا مِنَ الْأَحَادِيثِ إِلَّا التَّشَهُّدَ وَالِاسْتِخَارَةَ .
جُوَيْبِرٌ مَتْرُوكٌ ، وَالضَّحَّاكُ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ .

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "In the blessed era of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), we did not write down anything of the hadith except the tashahhud and the istikharah (supplications)."
