حَدَّثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ الْأَحْوَلِ ، عَنْ فِطْرِ بْنِ خَلِيفَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ جَعْفَرِ ابْنِ أَبِي وَحْشِيَّةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : يَقُولُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : مَنْ تَأَلَّى عَلَى عَبْدِي ، أَدْخَلْتُ عَبْدِي الْجَنَّةَ وَأَدْخَلْتُهُ النَّارَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, says: 'Whoever swears (by Allah, out of arrogance or self-conceit) concerning a servant of Mine (that I will not forgive him), I have admitted that servant of Mine into Paradise and thrown him (the one who swore) into Hell.'"
Takhrij: Al-Bayhaqi narrated this hadith in Shu'ab al-Iman (3001), and a supporting report for it is in Sahih Muslim (2621) from Jundab (may Allah be pleased with him); Allamah al-Albani declared it sahih (authentic).
