وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، عَنْ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ الْعَبْدِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : وَيْلٌ لِلْمُتَأَلِّينَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ : فُلَانٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، فُلَانٌ فِي النَّارِ .

It is narrated from Ja'far al-Abdi (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Woe and ruin to those of my Ummah who overstep the limits and swear on Allah's behalf (al-muta'allin), who say (making definitive judgements of their own about people's fate in the Hereafter): 'So-and-so is in Paradise, and so-and-so is in the Fire (Hell).'"
Musaddad recorded this narration through Isma'il, Layth and Zayd from Ja'far al-Abdi, and Mu'tamir also narrated it from Layth with the same chain.
