It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jarir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent me to Yemen for the purpose of fighting against them and inviting them to the Oneness of Allah; so when they say La ilaha illallah (there is no god worthy of worship except Allah), their blood and their wealth become forbidden to me.
Abu Bakr bin Abi Shaybah recorded this hadith in his al-Musannaf; its chain includes al-Fadl bin Dukayn, Aban bin Abdullah al-Bajali and Ibrahim bin Jarir, who narrated it from Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him).
