وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ ذَكْوَانَ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَيُّوبُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي فُلَانٌ الْعَنَزِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : " أَرْسَلَ إِلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مَرَضِهِ الَّذِي تُوُفِّيَ فِيهِ ، فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَوَجَدْتُهُ نَائِمًا ، فَأَكْبَبْتُ عَلَيْهِ ، فَرَفَعَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَيْهِ فَالْتَزَمَنِي " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "During the illness in which he passed away, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a message summoning me. So I came into his (peace and blessings be upon him) blessed presence and found him (peace and blessings be upon him) resting. So I bent over him (peace and blessings be upon him) (out of love and devotion), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raised both his blessed hands and embraced me."
Imam Abu Ya'la narrated it in his Musnad. One narrator in its chain is unnamed; however, on the strength of other supporting reports this hadith reaches the grade of hasan (good).
