Al-Matalib al-'Aliyah 2702 — Not greeting one who is praying

وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : " لَوْ دَخَلْتُ وَقَوْمٌ يُصَلُّونَ مَا سَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "If I enter (a place) while people are praying, I will not greet them with salam."
Imam Abu Ya'la (may Allah have mercy on him) recorded this athar (report of a Companion).
