وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ : حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْمَدَنِيُّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لَيُصَلِّي الصَّلَاةَ وَمَا فَاتَهُ مِنْ وَقْتِهَا أَشَدُّ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ وَمَالِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "One of you offers the prayer (late), yet the part of its (best) time that he misses is far heavier and more painful for him than (the loss of) his family and his wealth."
