حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ وَاضِحٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ سَلْمَى بِنْتِ نَصْرٍ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي مُرَّةَ قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ : " يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، إِنَّ جُلَّ مَا لِي فِي الْحُمُرِ ، أَفَأُصِيبُ مِنْهَا ؟ قَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَلَيْسَ تَرْعَى الْفَلَاةَ وَتَأْكُلُ الشَّجَرَ ؟ . قُلْتُ : بَلَى . قَالَ : فَأَصِبْ مِنْهَا .
It is narrated from a man of Banu Murrah that he said: "I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, most of my wealth is in donkeys; may I benefit from (the meat of) them?' He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Do they not graze in the open country and eat (the leaves of) the trees?' I said: 'Yes (they certainly graze and eat).' He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Then you may take (benefit) from them.'"
