حَدَّثَنَا أَشْهَلُ ، ثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ حَذَّاءً بِالْمَدِينَةِ ، فَقُلْتُ : احْذُ نَعْلِي ، فَقَالَ : إِنْ شِئْتَ حَذَوْتُهَا هَكَذَا ، وَإِنْ شِئْتَ حَذَوْتُهَا كَمَا رَأَيْتَ نَعْلَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، [فَقُلْتُ : وَأَنْتَ رَأَيْتَ نَعْلَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ] ؟ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُهَا فِي بَيْتِ فَاطِمَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَ : حَسِبْتُهُ قَالَ : فِي بَيْتِ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قُلْتُ : احْذُهَا كَمَا رَأَيْتَ نَعْلَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . قَالَ : فَحَذَاهَا لَهَا قِبَالَانِ ، فَقَالَ : وَقَدِمْتُ وَقَدْ أَخَذَهَا ابْنُ سِيرِينَ .
( 100 ) حَدِيثُ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِيمَا يُقَالُ عِنْدَ اللِّبَاسِ . تَقَدَّمَ فِي أَوَائِلِ الْبُيُوعِ .

It is narrated from Ashhal, from Ibn Awn (may Allah have mercy on him), that he said: "I came to a sandal-maker in Madinah and said to him: 'Make my sandals.' He said: 'If you wish, I will make them like this, and if you wish, I will make them as I saw the sandal of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).' I asked (in surprise): 'Have you seen the sandal of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?' He replied: 'I saw it in the house of Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her).' Ibn Awn said: I think he said: 'In the house of Fatimah bint Ubaydullah bin Abbas.' I said: 'Then make them just as you saw the sandal of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).' Ibn Awn said: So he (the sandal-maker) made two straps for it (the sandal). Ibn Awn said: (Some time later) when I returned, Ibn Sirin had already taken it."
