قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : " حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، وَابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا نَدْخُلُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا وَنَحْنُ غِلْمَانٌ ، وَعَلَيْنَا ثِيَابٌ مُعَصْفَرَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Ata and Ibn Abi Mulaykah that they said: "We used to visit Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) when we were young boys, and we would be wearing saffron-coloured (i.e. dyed with safflower) clothes."
