Abu Ishaq al-Hamdani relates that a blind Muslim man used to stay with a Jewish woman who treated him very well, but whenever she mentioned the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) she would insult him (peace and blessings be upon him). The man forbade her from this (vile behaviour), but she would not stop, so he killed her. When the matter was brought before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) questioned him, and he said: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! She was indeed the best of people in her kindness to me, but whenever she mentioned you she would revile you (peace and blessings be upon him). I forbade her, but she would not stop, so I killed her." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) declared her blood to be unavenged.
