حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، ثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُكَيْمٍ ، قَالَ : إِنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - كَانَ لَا يَضْمَنُ الْوَدِيعَةَ .
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Ukaym that Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) did not hold the trustee liable when a deposit was lost.
