مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ : إِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - أُتِيَ فِي وَدِيعَةٍ ضَاعَتْ ، فَلَمْ يَضْمَنْهَا .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the case of a deposit (trust) that had been lost was brought to Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), and he did not hold (the trustee) liable for it.
