It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he bought a she-camel from two men of al-Nakha', and stipulated that the payment would be to their satisfaction. Then he brought them to his house and took out a purse of money, and the two of them quarrelled over it; then he took out another purse, and they quarrelled again. At this Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'A'udhu billahi minkuma' (I seek refuge in Allah from you both); then the narrator mentioned the whole hadith. In another narration: Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) bought a she-camel from a man for four hundred dirhams, and stipulated that the payment would be to his satisfaction. The man brought with him a man from Isfahan who was more expert in weighing. Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) took out a purse before him and he accepted most of it; then he accepted the second and third purses in the same way. Then Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'A'udhu billahi minkuma' (I seek refuge in Allah from you both); then the narrator related the whole hadith.
