قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، ثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ : أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنِ الْمُتْعَةِ فِي الْحَجِّ ، فَقَالَ : كَانَتْ لَنَا ، لَيْسَتْ لَكُمْ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was asked about Hajj al-Tamattu' (performing Umrah in the months of Hajj and leaving ihram, then entering ihram for Hajj), and he replied: "This (concession) was specific to us; it is not for you people."
