It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Sayyiduna Umar al-Faruq (may Allah be pleased with him) came into the noble presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to seek permission to go for Umrah, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "O my brother! Make supplication (to Allah when you are there), and do not forget us in your righteous supplications."
Imam Abu Dawud also recorded this hadith from the narration of Sayyiduna Umar al-Faruq (may Allah be pleased with him) himself.
