وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى أَيْضًا : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ سَبَلَانُ ، ثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ جَمِيلِ بْنِ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَنْ خَرَجَ حَاجًّا فَمَاتَ كُتِبَ لَهُ أَجْرُ الْحَاجِّ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَمَنْ خَرَجَ مُعْتَمِرًا فَمَاتَ كُتِبَ لَهُ أَجْرُ الْمُعْتَمِرِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَمَنْ خَرَجَ غَازِيًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ فَمَاتَ كُتِبَ لَهُ أَجْرُ الْغَازِي إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ .
Imam Abu Ya'la (may Allah have mercy on him) related that it is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever sets out with the intention of Hajj and dies (on the way), the reward of one who performs Hajj is written for him until the Day of Resurrection; and whoever sets out with the intention of Umrah and dies, the reward of one who performs Umrah is recorded for him until the Day of Resurrection; and whoever sets out for jihad in the path of Allah and passes away (on the way), the reward of a warrior continues to be written for him until the Day of Resurrection."
