It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Get up and announce among the people that the days of Tashriq are days of eating and drinking; no fasting is to be done in them."
Al-Nadr bin Shumayl narrated likewise from Isma'il through Abu Ibrahim al-Madani. Imam Ahmad bin Mani' and Imam al-Harith also narrated this same report from Muhammad bin Abi Humayd through Rawh bin Ubadah. Muhammad bin Abi Humayd is weak, and he is the same Abu Ibrahim al-Madani whom al-Nadr mentioned by his kunyah.
