قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ صَوْمِ يَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ وَيَوْمِ الْأَضْحَى ... الْحَدِيثَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade fasting on the day of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. The rest of the hadith follows.
