قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : قُلْتُ لِأَبِي أُسَامَةَ : أَحَدَّثَكُمْ عُمَرُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : قَالَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ : رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْمَنَامِ ، فَرَأَيْتُهُ لَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيَّ ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، مَا شَأْنِي ؟ قَالَ : أَلَسْتَ الَّذِي تُقَبِّلُ وَأَنْتَ صَائِمٌ . قَالَ : فَوَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ نَبِيًّا ، لَا أُقَبِّلُ بَعْدَهَا وَأَنَا صَائِمٌ ; فَأَقَرَّ بِهِ وَقَالَ : نَعَمْ .
1062 \ 2 - وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ : ثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، مِثْلَهُ .

Ishaq narrates: I asked Abu Usamah: Did Umar bin Hamzah narrate this hadith to you, (saying:) Salim informed me, narrating from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), that Sayyiduna Umar al-Faruq (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in a dream, and I saw that he (peace and blessings be upon him) was not turning his attention towards me. I said: O Messenger of Allah! What is the matter with me? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Are you not the one who kisses while fasting?" Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: By the One who sent you as a Prophet with the truth! I will never kiss while fasting after this. At that Abu Usamah confirmed this report and said: Yes (it happened like this).
