It is narrated from Iyad bin Nadlah: We went out with Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) to stroll in one of the gardens. There I felt the need to relieve myself, so I went (aside) to see to my need. Then I came back and sat on the bank of a stream. Meanwhile Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) came to me just as I was about to take off my leather socks, and he said: "Keep them (on your feet) and wipe over them, until you take them off when you go to sleep."
