وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يُفْطِرَ عَلَى ثَلَاثِ تَمَرَاتٍ ، أَوْ شَيْءٍ لَمْ تُصِبْهُ النَّارُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) liked "to break his fast with three dates, or with something which fire had not touched" (that is, something not cooked on fire but in its natural state).
