Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) states that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "I hope that those of my Ummah who follow me will be a quarter of the people of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection." The narrator says: So we said the takbir. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I hope that they will be a third of the people (that is, of the people of Paradise)." The narrator says: So we said the takbir. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I hope that they (that is, the members of my Ummah) will be half (of the people of Paradise)."
Ahmad, al-Bazzar, and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat recorded it. The narrators of al-Bazzar are the narrators of the Sahih, and likewise the narrators of one of Ahmad's two chains.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) states: I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "What reply did your Lord give you regarding intercession?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By the One in whose Hand is my soul, I expected that you would be the first of my Ummah to ask me about this, because I have seen your intense eagerness for knowledge. By the One in whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), what concerns me about their thronging at the doors of Paradise is more important to me than the completion of my intercession. And my intercession will be for everyone who testifies sincerely that there is no god but Allah Almighty, with his heart confirming his tongue and his tongue confirming his heart."
