Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) states: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to us: "How will you feel being a quarter of the people of Paradise, with a quarter of it for you and three quarters of it for all other people?" We said: "Allah and His Messenger know best." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "How will you feel being a third of it?" The people said: "That is a great deal." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "How will you feel being half?" The people said: "That is a great deal." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection the people of Paradise will be in one hundred and twenty rows, and of them you will be eighty rows." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: This narration is mentioned in the "Sahih" in abridged form.
Ahmad, Abu Ya'la, al-Bazzar, and al-Tabarani in his three books recorded it; their narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except al-Harith bin Hasirah, who has been declared trustworthy.
