Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) states: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about Paradise, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever enters Paradise will live in it and will not die; he will be in bliss and will not despair; his clothes will not wear out, and his youth will not come to an end." It was asked: "O Messenger of Allah, what is it built of?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "One brick is of gold and one brick is of silver, its mortar is of musk, its soil is of saffron, and its pebbles are of pearls and rubies."
Al-Tabarani recorded it with a chain whose narrators al-Tirmidhi declared hasan (good).

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Allah Almighty made Paradise such that one brick is of gold and one brick is of silver, and its mortar is of musk."

In one narration the wording is: "The walls of Paradise have one brick of gold and one brick of silver, and its mortar is musk. The Lord said to it: 'Speak!' So it said: 'Indeed the believers have succeeded.' The angels said: 'Glad tidings for you, that you are the dwelling place of kings!'"
Al-Bazzar recorded this narration both as "marfu'" and as "mawquf" (that is, in both ways), and al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, though he recorded these words: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed Allah Almighty created the Garden of Eden with His Hand, one brick of it of gold and one brick of silver." The rest of the narration is as before. The narrators of the "mawquf" narration are the narrators of the Sahih, and Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) could only state this if he had heard it from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Indeed Allah Almighty made Paradise white."
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains Hisham bin Ziyad Abu al-Miqdam, who is matruk (abandoned).
