عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ : " مَا أَنْكَرْتُمْ مِنْ زَمَانِكُمْ فَبِمَا غَيَّرْتُمْ مِنْ أَعْمَالِكُمْ ، فَإِنْ يَكُ خَيْرًا فَوَاهًا وَاهًا ، وَإِنْ يَكُ شَرًّا فَآهًا آهًا " . هَكَذَا سَمِعْتُ مِنْ نَبِيِّكُمْ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) says: "Whatever you find objectionable in your times is the change in your own deeds. If it is good, how wonderful! And if it is bad, then what a pity!" I heard your Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say it like this.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).

وَعَنْ ثَوْبَانَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِنَّكُمْ لَتَعْمَلُونَ أَعْمَالًا لَا تُعْرَفُ ، وَيُوشِكُ الْعَازِبُ أَنْ يَئُوبَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ فَمَسْرُورٌ ، وَمَكْظُومٌ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الْحِمَّانِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "You will do deeds that are not recognized, and it will be that a person returns home after a long absence, and he is either happy or holding back his anger."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Yahya bin Abd al-Hamid al-Himmani, who is da'if (weak).

وَعَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - لَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَى أَجْسَامِكُمْ ، وَلَا إِلَى أَحْسَابِكُمْ ، وَلَا إِلَى أَمْوَالِكُمْ ، وَلَكِنْ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى قُلُوبِكُمْ ، فَمَنْ كَانَ لَهُ قَلْبٌ صَالِحٌ تَحَنَّنَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ ، وَإِنَّمَا أَنْتُمْ بَنُو آدَمَ ، وَأَحَبُّكُمْ إِلَيَّ أَتْقَاكُمْ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، وَفِيهِ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty does not look at your bodies, nor at your lineage, nor at your wealth; rather, He looks at your hearts. So whoever has a righteous heart, Allah Almighty is compassionate to him. You are all children of Adam, and the most beloved of you to me is the most God-fearing."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Muhammad bin Ayyash, and there is weakness in him.

Hadith Takhrij «أخرجه المعجم الكبير للطبراني برقم: 3456»
وَعَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - خَرَجَ مَعَهُ بِوَصِيَّةٍ ، ثُمَّ الْتَفَتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ أَهْلَ بَيْتِي هَؤُلَاءِ يَرَوْنَ أَنَّهُمْ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِي ، وَلَيْسَ كَذَلِكَ ، إِنَّ أَوْلِيَائِي مِنْكُمُ الْمُتَّقُونَ ، مَنْ كَانُوا ، وَحَيْثُ كَانُوا . اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي لَا أُحِلُّ لَهُمْ فَسَادَ مَا أَصْلَحْتَ ، وَايْمُ اللَّهِ ، لَتُكْفَأُ أُمَّتِي عَنْ دِينِهَا كَمَا يُكْفَأُ الْإِنَاءُ فِي الْبَطْحَاءِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ جَيِّدٌ .
Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) states: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came walking with him, giving him instructions; then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned towards Madinah and said: "My household think that they are the closest of people to me, but it is not so. My close companions among you are the God-fearing, whoever they may be and wherever they may be. O Allah, I do not permit them to corrupt what You have set right. By Allah, my Ummah will be overturned from its religion just as a vessel is overturned in the open plain."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its chain is jayyid (good).

Hadith Takhrij «اخرجه الطبراني فى المعجم الكبير (121/20) اخرجه احمد فى المسند (235/5) ، أخرجه صحيح ابن حبان برقم: 647»
وَعَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : " أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ كَانَ لَكَ عَبْدَانِ : أَحَدُهُمَا يُطِيعُكَ ، وَلَا يَخُونُكَ ، وَلَا يَكْذِبُكَ ، وَالْآخَرُ يَخُونُكَ ، وَيَكْذِبُكُ ، الَّذِي يُطِيعُكَ وَلَا يَكْذِبُكَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْكَ أَمِ الَّذِي يَخُونُكَ وَيَكْذِبُكَ ؟ " . قُلْتُ : لَا . بَلِ الَّذِي لَا يَخُونُنِي ، وَلَا يَكْذِبُنِي ، وَيَصْدُقُنِي الْحَدِيثَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ . قَالَ : " كَذَاكُمْ أَنْتُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّكُمْ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ .
Abu al-Ahwas reports this statement of his father: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: "What is your view: if you had two slaves, one of whom obeys you, does not betray you and does not lie to you, while the other betrays you and lies to you, would the one who obeys you and does not lie to you be more beloved to you, or the one who betrays you and lies to you?" I said: "No! Rather, the one who does not betray me, does not lie to me and tells me the truth would be more beloved to me." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You people are likewise before your Lord."

Hadith Takhrij «أخرجه مسند أحمد برقم: 16777»
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ عِنْدَهُ أَيْضًا : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ لَهُ : " يَا عَوْفُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، غُلَامُكَ الَّذِي يُطِيعُكَ وَيَتَّبِعُ أَمْرَكَ ، أَحَبُّ إِلَيْكَ أَمْ غُلَامُكَ الَّذِي لَا يُطِيعُكَ وَلَا يَتَّبِعُ أَمْرَكَ ؟ " . قَالَ : بَلْ . غُلَامِيَ الَّذِي يُطِيعُنِي وَيَتَّبِعُ أَمْرِي ، قَالَ : فَكَذَاكُمْ أَنْتُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّكُمْ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ بِإِسْنَادَيْنِ ، وَرِجَالُ الرِّوَايَةِ الْأُولَى ثِقَاتٌ .
In one narration recorded by him, the wording is: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "O Awf bin Malik! Would your servant who obeys you and follows your command be more beloved to you, or your servant who does not obey you and does not follow your command?" He said: "Rather, my servant who obeys me and follows my command (would be more beloved to me)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "So you people are likewise before your Lord."
Al-Tabarani recorded it with two chains, and the narrators of the first narration are thiqat (trustworthy).

وَعَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ أَخْلَصَ قَلْبَهُ لِلْإِيمَانِ ، وَجَعَلَ قَلْبَهُ سَلِيمًا ، وَلِسَانَهُ صَادِقًا ، وَنَفْسَهُ مُطْمَئِنَّةً ، وَخَلِيقَتَهُ مُسْتَقِيمَةً ، وَجَعَلَ أُذُنَهُ مُسْتَمِعَةً ، وَعَيْنَهُ نَاظِرَةً ، فَأَمَّا الْأُذُنُ فَقَمِعٌ ، وَالْعَيْنُ مُقِرَّةٌ بِمَا يُوعَى الْقَلْبُ ، وَقَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ جَعَلَ قَلْبَهُ وَاعِيًا " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Successful is the one who has made his heart sincere for faith, made his heart sound, his tongue truthful, his soul tranquil and his character upright, and made his ears listen (to the truth) and his eyes look (at the truth). As for the ears, they are a passageway; the eye retains things, and the heart preserves them. And successful is the one who has made his heart a preserver."
Ahmad recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).

Hadith Takhrij «اخرجه احمد فى المسند 147/5 ، أخرجه مسند أحمد برقم: 20803»
