Majma al-Zawaid 17721 — Further reports on admonitions

Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Successful is the one who has made his heart sincere for faith, made his heart sound, his tongue truthful, his soul tranquil and his character upright, and made his ears listen (to the truth) and his eyes look (at the truth). As for the ears, they are a passageway; the eye retains things, and the heart preserves them. And successful is the one who has made his heart a preserver."
Ahmad recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).
