بَابُ التَّائِبِ مِنَ الذَّنْبِ كَمَنْ لَا ذَنْبَ لَهُ .

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " التَّائِبُ مِنَ الذَّنْبِ كَمَنْ لَا ذَنْبَ لَهُ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، إِلَّا أَنَّ أَبَا عُبَيْدَةَ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ أَبِيهِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one who repents from sin is like one who has no sin."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except that the narrator Abu Ubaydah did not hear from his father (that is, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him).

وَعَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " النَّدَمُ تَوْبَةٌ ، وَالتَّائِبُ مِنَ الذَّنْبِ كَمَنْ لَا ذَنْبَ لَهُ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ . قُلْتُ : وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَتْ أَحَادِيثُ فِي بَابِ "الْإِسْلَامِ يَجُبُّ مَا كَانَ قَبْلَهُ " فِي كِتَابِ الْإِيمَانِ .
The son of Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reports from his father that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Remorse is repentance, and the one who repents from sin is like one who has no sin."
