Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "A servant supplicates to Allah Almighty while He loves him, and Allah Almighty says: 'O Jibril! Fulfil this servant of Mine's need, but delay it, for I love to hear his voice.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says: Likewise, a servant supplicates to Allah Almighty while Allah Almighty dislikes him, and Allah Almighty says: 'O Jibril! Fulfil this servant of Mine's need, and fulfil it quickly, for I dislike hearing his voice.'"
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Ishaq bin Abdullah bin Abi Farwah, and he is matruk (abandoned).

Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration; its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Ghafur Abu al-Sabbah, and he is matruk (abandoned).
