Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) relates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When one of you makes a wish, let him wish for much, for he is asking of his Lord."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Each one of you should ask his Lord for all of his needs (here the narrator is in doubt about one word), so much so that when the strap of his sandal breaks, he should ask Him (that is, the Lord) for that too, and so much so that he should ask Him (that is, the Lord) even for salt."
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Imam al-Tirmidhi recorded this narration, but he did not record these words: "He should ask Him even for salt."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded this narration, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Sayyar bin Hatim, and he is thiqah (trustworthy).
